I found Abe through Instagram and was able to purchase this small wood block illustration which had been exhibited through the Giant Robot Gallery. Just thought it was a wonderful fantasy illustration with a dream like quality.

Made from pen and gouache on wood, it was part of the group exhibition Mintea Challenge that ran from 10/10/2020-10/28/2020. A prompt was used for this piece - "Monochromatic"

I really like Yusei Abe's work too. It's got a very surreal tone to it. Nice piece I love the flying ship and the celestial whale moving across the sky together. good shit.

A ship and a blue whale (sort of?) floating amongs the clouds up in outer space, all done with intricate detail with a very surreal, dream like quality. Don't know how I missed this until now, but it's a real beaut, Jason, kudos!
