Description
Very X-cited to add this X-ceptional page from X-Force #24 to my collection. It's the magnificent page featuring the transformation of Graymalkin to Magneto's new home base Avalon. The historic location where Wolverine has his adamantium ripped from his body and the new home Colossus escapes to after his sister Illyana dies from the Legacy Virus.

This tremendous page features the art of Greg Capullo and early inking from Richard Bennett, written by Fabian Nicieza. I really enjoy these artist's work and it's great to finally have something this historic from their artistry in the early 90's, not to mention my first X-Force page.

The detail that Capullo and Bennett do for Magneto and for deadened Graymalkin is gorgeous. This splash page has so many wonderful pieces to keep looking at, I love the expression on Magneto's face and the reflection in his helmet. You can really feel the grandiose scale of this former home to Cable and the excitement of Magneto finding his next home to try and make the lives of mutants better.

Such a great page, amazing detail! I love the cutaway scenes offering a preview to future storylines. Especially when it’s for a storyline of such calibre like Fatal Attractions. Would love to see a higher res image for this one. :)
