Awesome!
Wow an absolute 90's classic! Bravo!
I am so glad you own this cover. Joe Q and Bart Sears both did amazing work on X-O, but BWS was always the artist who grasped my imagination with his covers for classic era Valiant Comics and never let go after all these decades. I was first introduced to reading comic books by the Batman movie. I became a committed comic book fan because of Jim Lee's X-Men issues. But I fell in love with the art form thanks to Valiant in the 90s. And looking at BWS's art for the publisher, especially his cover work like this one for X-O issue #5, blew my mind. The fluidity of the armor. Aric's distorted expression of determination. The position of his body readying for action. This gearing up cover is a true classic that will always live on in the fans' imaginations and now also your collection. Congrats and thank you for sharing this here on CAF with all of us.
Hope he went heavy on the baby powder. Don't want to chafe in that thing.
Absolute iconic cover! Congrats!
My fav Valiant cover - jealous.
