13.75x19" artboard has pen and ink original art by Al McWilliams. Art is for page 10 of Tip Top Comics #61, United Features Syndicate, May 1941. This Triple Terror story page features six panels that comprise the last page of a multi-issue story arc. Features The Brandon Triplets who are The Triple Terror whose fearlessness and great knowledge make them the dread of the underworld. First appeared in Tip Top Comics #54, October 1940. The three members, featured in costume in three panels and in suits in other three, are Bruce Brandon (Menta-The Mental Master Of Men), Richard (Lectra-The Electrical Wizard) and Barton (Chemix-The Genius Of Chemistry). The storyline features the evil Dr. Yung trying to steal a secret formula for liquid light. This page reveals that the secret formula was tattooed on the tail of Pete the monkey, also featured in three panels. They are congratulated by a General and last panel shows them pursuing an attractive woman. Back of board is blank except for a name in pen. Artboard has some scattered aging/dust soiling at margins, but art remains clean and VF overall. Tan marks indicate some paste ups that are missing, two of which were type corrections and rest were printers marks and labels. A great example of Golden Age art.
