DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR THE LINK IN OUR FEBRUARY 2021 AUCTION!14x18-7/8" artboard features pen and ink original art by Gray Morrow (1934-2001) for page 41 of Blazing Combat #3, published by Warren Publishing in April 1966. Art is for third page of Water Hole! story set during the American Indian Wars and page features six panels, showing US Calvary troop waiting in ambush at titular water hole, hoping for revenge against Native American war party. The approaching war party is seen but proves to be a ruse, allowing Native American warriors to kill the troop's officer and scout before they're able to return fire. Top/bottom margins have some penciled numbers/editorial notations and upper left corner has 4" crease below it. Each corner of art area has four small pin holes, likely used for printing purposes. Artboard is VF, while art remains clean and Exc. Social/Sharing |
