Description

The designers of Spider-man and his Amazing Friends wanted a female character resembling Mary Jane but didn't want to actually use MJ so the concept of Angelica Jones/Firestar came about.

This is the final original pencil model drawing of Angelica Jones by animator Rick Hoberg that took influences from John Romita Sr's initial drawings (shown below) of her as John was a creative consultant on the show. This is a front view that represents Angelica as she was seen on the show very much influenced by John Sr's Mary Jane.
