This piece is so beautiful, and also mesmerizing. There is a stillness to the piece, but the stray strand of hair, her determined expression, and the way her hands are about to curl around her katanas all suggest motion. Like she is in the middle of a training session. Alex Maleev is amazing.

This is such a striking composition, and (just as Paul P said) it is totally mesmerizing. The color work here (as always) really sets it apart from other artists; the folds of her robe and the definition of her left knee, the flush in her cheeks... Incredible work. Sincere congrats - gorgeous!
