DescriptionI truly sympathize with Butcher."Issue 59 was a serious punch in the gut. If this was a bad action movie, one of our buddy cops would have said 'shit just got real'... Terror's scene was hard enough to deal with, but Butcher's response was a whole 'nother animal. Garth wrote a powerful and brutal scene, a scene unlike anything I'd read in comics before, and I really did all I could to get across the absolute horror of the moment. Jack had to register shock, terror, and realization, an almost acceptance - and then yet another level of terror. And butcher had to be terrifying with a cold glare and a snarl, and then even more terrifying without it... One of my favorite scenes ever." Russ Braun Social/Sharing |
