This may be my new favorite homage. This piece was done by Joe Matt of "Peepshow: The Cartoon Diary of Joe Matt". I think every comic book reader should read his work. It is brutally honest and self deprecating in it's humor. He's great with commissions too.

It very well might have been like this. The models are only needed to help with shadows and color and composition. Lol.
