DescriptionFeaturing Johnny Alpha (and his Westinghouse blaster), Wulf Sternhammer (and der happy-stick) and the Gronk (and his poor heartsies)! This commission was published in Carlos' 2000AD Colouring Book.This is THE grail for me. For some people there is Kirby, Ditko or Lee, for me it is Carlos Ezquerra. The man created Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog, two of my favorite (and IMO) best designed comic characters of all time and worked on many other 2000AD strips and war comics. Although I wasn’t the one to commission this directly from Carlos (he sadly passed away in 2018), this is the perfect commission for me and exactly what I would have requested given the opportunity (although choosing between Johnny and Dredd would have been difficult!). I do have a couple pages from Strontium Dog, but I appreciate how personal commission are and pursue them when possible. Very grateful I was able to pick this up and am looking forward to getting this framed and on the wall! Not sure who decided to let this commission go but what a GREAT pick up, it's FANTASTIC !
Could/should even be a cover.
