Bob Lubbers - Long Sam Daily (11-21, 1962)

I find this strip is just irresistible, of course for the lovely art (Lubbers was a real master of the genre, still not appreciated as much as he deserves) but even more for the funny gag, which clearly refers to great Flemish master Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640).
In fact, not by chance the young painter in this strip bears Rubens' name, since he apparently shares with him the same fondness for plumpy models :)
