DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!Errol McCarthy is an artist/illustrator noted for his work on Peterson Publishing titles Hot Rod Cartoons, CARtoons and Cycletoons as well as for his later work on popular toylines like Hot Wheels and Masters of the Universe. Offered here are three 14x17.5" artboards w/applied sheets of vellum bearing pen and ink original art (w/screentone accents) and airbrushing for three-page story from 1970s Peterson Publishing title (either Hot Rod Cartoons or CARtoons). Story involves gasoline-drinking vampire stalking couples at drive-in theater (where patrons watch The Phantom Of The Opera and The Mummy's Hand; these are represented by actual photo images on the drive-in "screen"). Vellum has aged and shows some scattered staining along margin but art o/w remains clean and Exc. Great content. First artboard has attached stiff paper overlay (detached). Errol McCarthy Collection.
