Description

Enjoyed the way Cassaday played with negative space and gray scale on the faces to make Wilma look tough. Cassaday caught her "bad ass" expression just right and the way he grabs your attention with the facial shading. This cover work is the center piece for the Dynamite Art of John Cassaday hardcover. Check out Laura Martin's colors in the additional images.

Wilma Deering...
"She is always portrayed as dominant, assertive and a patriot to her home world of Earth with an explosive temper. The characters origins date way back to the very first Buck Rogers story, Armageddon 2419 A.D. where Wilma is introduced as the strong, adventurous, heroic and beautiful paramour to Buck Rogers after he finds himself trapped in the future with no way home."...
