Description
I'm always after those elusive Tom Grummett Superboy pages (like a few other illustrious collectors I know), so whenever I see one come up, even if it's from an issue I'm somewhat unfamiliar with, how can I say no? Here we have Superboy visiting Guardian in the hospital, and while it might not be a momentous event or feature the first appearance of a character, the page is still beautiful. It goes to show how even the simplest scenes are great pieces of art in their own right.

Not a first apperance?  I for one thinks that it's a momentous page in itself as Superboy first reveals to Guardian that he's a solar battery like Superman.  You also get Grummett's clean stroytelling and polished figurework to boot.  The way he manages to contrast the age differences of the characters is top notch.

Now THERE is a comment from a collector unconcerned about the flex and focused on the art!

Don't know about that, I may have the first appearance of Lonestar's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate somewhere in my portfolio.

As Mr Wai pointed out, some historic moments aren't Earth-shattering. This is a very cool moment, where we learn clone Superboy is a lot more like Kal than he realized. And Grummett's work is as clean and crisp as you'd want. Cool find (before Rubén :))! Congrats!
