DescriptionWith this art, i truly feel like a custodian of a piece of history. In my opinion, this is Esads greatest work, i am sure others would disagree, but my reasons, the image itself is not only stunning but totally memorable too. The book and whole run was also engaging and such an enjoyable read. We as a community are fortunate that the art survived a fire a few years back, it certainly had a higher power looking over it that day.Thank you to all involved, its a piece i will certainly enjoy and never tire of looking at. UPDATE: i did not realise but this is also the first appearance of Gorr. The character is being being played by Christian Bale in the next Thor movie Social/Sharing |

Oh wow. I had assumed this was destroyed. Definitely my favorite piece by Ribic. I'm glad it survived!

Words are hard to find for this - truly an EPIC piece and easily my favorite Esad painting I have seen. Hearty congrats!

I also thought this piece was destroyed... So glad to see this piece has survived! Paintings like this are meant to see the centuries to come.

I heard the story about this one surviving a fire incident. Glad to hear that and that it ended up in good hands. Congrats.

Love the contrast of a bloody Thor (with battle axe) coming out of the water with the triumphant Thor (with hammer and lightning strikes) marching in the clouds. Then you get Odin behind both versions, and that other cool villainous looking character to the left. Truly an epic set of covers!

I well remember this painting in Conny's CAF gallery and I'm glad to see it survived to the devastating fire of her home. Hope that she can fully recover from that tragedy too. Congrats on this Ribic masterpiece!

Absolutely one of Ribic's best. Great composition, outstanding pure illustration, and then there's the next level use of color. Love how you go from warmer to cooler as you move from left to right. One of the top Thor images of recent years, and that's saying something, as there have been many. Sincere congrats, Dean!

Just can't take my eyes off Odin on this one. I guess technically he's a background element, but to me, he's the centerpiece of the painting. Really stunning and powerful piece.
