Description

I suspect this movie predicts my entire collection more than any comic I read as a kid.
My brother and I were rarely allowed to turn on the tv except at noon every Saturday to watch whatever family-friendly midday movie came on. Imagine a rotating diet of already old westerns, tap dancers, synchronised swimmers (that was a weird time in film), pirates, thieves, adventurers and...Jason and the Argonauts! The 'skeleton movie' (we still call it that) was the crown jewel of Saturday movie watching and luckily came around pretty often in those pre-internet days.
I think Eric really captured the spirit of the film here.

Thanks, it just takes me back to my brother and I patiently waiting to see our favourite parts - the monster bits!

This really feels like the movie in all the best ways! Great choice and really nice execution of the idea. Huge congrats!

Thanks! Yeah, I saw Eric's work in Eternal and just thought it would work well for this one. Aside from his style working for it, he's good at composing multiple figures in a pretty small space which I knew this one would need.

I LOVE THIS PIECE! I loved this movie and clash of the titans when i was a kid. I love the exploding skelli, and the one getting decapitated by Jason. It's a great representation of the scene!

major nostalgia feelings here and this is a cool representation of it... were you and your bro also into Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger? another stop motion animation legend in my house

Oh yeah, the Sinbad movies too for sure. Those movies made me want to wear harem pants and have snakes for hair - at the same time!

Love this movie! This and other movies with Harryhausen monsters were a staple of my childhood. Clash of the Titans commission next?
