Description

This Wolverine Genga (rough drawing of important scenes by senior animators) cel drawing was used in the opening sequence when Wolverine is introduced as Weapon X then changes into his famous yellow costume. Rough cel sketches (gengas) by an animator is the first step in creating the final colored production cel. When the sequence number is circled in the upper right, it's an indication that a senior animator produced the sketch.

There's an timing animation ladder above the circled B-7 that represents the speed to which the cels 5, 6, & 7 are to take place, either 24 frames a second or half at 12 frames, for fast moving sequences.
