Description

Awesome action page from Whisper by Norm Breyfogle. Unfortunately, whatever technical pen was used on this page (and many other Whisper pages) did not employee archival ink, as evidenced by the purplish faded line work. Interestingly enough, the paper was not the usual bristol board you would expect either. Rather it was a glossy coated stock paper (still 11 X 17 though).

Still, given the pieces age, it has held up really well.

It's marker pen turning purple. The Breyfogle style is ever present in the way the action is done in the sequential nature of how he would go wide screen with action and then reaction shot. The intensity comes from the facial expression and the hands which are always looking like they want to strangle someone.

I love this early career Breyfogle material. I remember looking at these issues and thinking "This guy needs to go do Daredevil or Batman!"
