DescriptionI finally feel my DC collection is complete. won't have this in hand for a while, but woulnd't stop me from posting here. Last year I decided that prices being what they are , quality is better than quantity. I have since been liquidating my art collection ( had 350+ pieces) to really go after the pieces that hold special value to me. This is among the top. The grand daddy of all events. Doesnt get better than this. I will perhaps have left maybe 20-30 art pieces in total when all is said and done.. but it would have been worth it.Some times, I just dont care about the art. It doesnt matter who the artist is, who the inker is or if panels/poses are attractive.. sometimes its about that one comic page that takes you to a special place. this is mine. Edit: Ordway inks confirmed. Thanks everyone Social/Sharing |

Looks wonderful! Crisis was a magnum opus of an event that people associate with their youth since it lasted a year. I'm going to say that Ordway did ink it based on the faces at the top, but he's around and you can reach out.

Dang Kit, the quality of your acquisitions is in the realm of true collectors (not weekend collectors like me). Congrats!!!

This is a great page from a fantastic event/series.
(Pretty sure it's Ordway indeed).

A distinctive page from that timeless serie at the root of so many reboots afterwards, congrats !

Absolutely incredible, Kit... Having a Perez example of not one, but TWO Supermans, Wonder Woman, some Titans, Captain Marvel, and Power Girl (among others!) would be awesome and unique enough, but to have that be on a page from 'Crisis'...?!!? Ooh... I need to sit down. (oh, wait... I already am... :) ). With the amazing growth we're all seeing in this most wonderful hobby we all adore, it gets more and more difficult to attain examples from works or by artists we love (which is not a bad thing, just a hard thing :) ). There are ways to cope with that that are more positive than others, and the path you're taking speaks not only to your pre-eminent taste as a collector, but to the caliber of your character. I'm sorry you have had to lose pieces you love (I just had to go through a similar situation myself), but sincere congrats on what you have achieved (and will continue to achieve). Keep on building up your incredible gallery, Kit, and know you have at least one person cheering you on. :) Beautiful page, my friend.

Wow! What an epic page. Truly a grail piece. Congratulations. Issue 11 was definitely inked by Ordway according to all the database sources. And you can tell by his faces and especially his mouths : )

Smart man. I've been doing the same. :) I'm right there with you, this was one hell of a series, and you got a killer page. Old and young Supes. Old, young, etc Wonder Woman. A great and poignant part of the overall story. You have yourself a true keeper here. Big congrats!

Congrats, a great page indeed! You and your under-bidder set the pricing bar high on this one, as every other dealer or collector sitting on Crisis pages now licks their chops lol.

Great page - I have the previous page, the bottom panel just hints at the Supermen scene. This maxi-series has been a bit under-appreciated IMO.

With all due respect to Infinity Gauntlet, Crisis is Perez's magnum opus, and this is a fine dramatic page. I love all the heroes on the page, but the sequence between the two Supermen is a dramatic high.
