Description

This is a Red Sonja by Frank Cho done on a blank sketchcover for Red Sonja #13. This was a reward tier on the Kickstarter campaign for Frank's cover for Red Sonja #13. I was a little bummed when I got it since it was the only one without a quip that Frank loves to do, but I realized that this goes with my current collection a lot better and it is still a fantastic piece of art so I got over it quickly lol. It is also cool to have cover 1/10. Currently the only piece I own from Frank but hope to get more!

Edit: Since originally posting, this has now been turned into a variant cover for Invincible Red Sonja 6! I was surprised to see the sketch covers come up as being variants for the new series since I had never seen that done before with a blank sketch cover converting into a published cover. Definitely lucky for all that took part in the Kickstarter!

No quip, but you got a zip. Did Cho do a Steve Martin on Red Sonja?

Nice! I had no idea they were using the sketch covers as actual covers. Looks like mine is being used for an issue this month, but they took the quip off it.

This is one of my favorites of the 10 because of the fact it had no quip!! Sometimes it's just better to let the art 'feel' fun instead of adding a a bit of dialogue, I think. Congrats on this of course!
