Description

From the story "The Demon in the Dark!" Conan's pirate nemesis Bor'aqh Sharaq (in the helmet) kills a guard so he can steal a boat.

The final piece is unusual, because it's composed of two separate pages. The pencil layout and final lettering lettering sit on a separate page behind the final inked page, with holes cut in the top page so that the lettering showed through. This was apparently because the lettered page was too smooth for the rendering effect that Alcala wanted, so he finished the art on rougher grained paper.
