I don't know what they were trying to spell out and maybe the editors didn't want people to stare too long at the cover and rather they just buy the comic. The larger Blue Beetle and and Booster Gold they went with was more conventional than this, but this one would have generated more buzz and speculation.

I love Maguire's work on JL! Unpublished or not, this is a really great piece! Huge congrats!
