Description

A particularly stunning page, and what always struck me about it is how Anand takes Erik's pose in the last panel and uses it again immediately following (pg. 89 splash), except this time he is playing the sax. It's a lovely transition.

The clarity of seeing the empty city and the reflections of light on the streets and buildings are all working to bring mood in service of the story. The transition to the next morning brings once a gain more rigid lines taking shape with a framed photo of people he cherishes now comes into focus. Perhaps to show us what he discovered the night before is not as important as the days ahead.
