Description

The Torpedo Con was very good to me. In addition to the full Elektra head sketch on a blank sketch cover, I also got a remarque by Frank on any item I wanted, so I had him do it on an Elektra Assassin #1 cover since it is such a great white cover. I had a Bill Sienkiewicz session the day before so I had him sign this one for Frank to sketch on so I would have them both on a cover somehow. It was such a pleasure to talk with Frank and joke around and simply watch him sketch on my comic. The Elektra came out really nice, and I took lots of pictures, as you can see in the additional images.
But what was great about this show was the access to the artists/creators. The line was nearby but not right there and we were allowed one at a time to go up to them, so it was a much more personal experience than a con sketch experience usually is. Really, really glad I made the 500+ mile drive to the show.

Sweeeeet! You got a piece of Frank Miller art AND by hanging out with him, got a piece of Frank Miller. I'll bet he's cool as hell to talk to. Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Fantastic remarque! I paid a bundle for a 5 minute audience with the man and get a few things signed at a Denver con a couple years ago and had a great experience. So glad he's still appearing at shows and doing OK.
