DescriptionThis image was created by Jim Starlin as an example of his talent when he was beginning his career and looking for work. It was published in the IDW book JIM STARLIN : A LIFE IN WORDS AND PICTURES on page 127 and is noted as a "practice painting".On page 126 of the book Starlin says, "This epiphany prompted me to give up comics for a spell hunting down paperback covers to illustrate instead. I was going to be the next Frank Frazetta. Well, we all know how well that fantasy worked out." Social/Sharing |
