An innovator of the comics medium, Sienkiewicz strove to bring his vision of what comics could look like. Never conforming, his art was radical and stood out from the pack. It was daring and courageous. It opened up the medium to more approaches and strengthened the argument that comics is an artform that can branch in many different directions. His was a roadmap of open roads. His art stands out now as it did back then.
