Big shoulder pad, pouches, square jaw, big gun, and bad attitude, are all exaggerated to bring larger than life characterization to one of the most influential characters of all time. Ezquerra's character design provides one of the more quintessential covers for Dredd.

The passing of Carlos was the end of an era.
