Description

I have had the great pleasure of visiting with Alfredo Macall who is an artist in Mexico. I had already purchased 3 pages of a 6 page story he created for a writer. When page 6 became available to purchase he reached back out to me.

In my first 3 pages the beautiful girl is stalked by the Jaguar and save by the warrior by his deftly thrown spear. Some of my favorite panels are the cat and its demise. In this page the he takes the beautify girl to his Aztec city and they all live happily ever after....not! Here come the Spanish Conquistadors. I love big ships and the ocean so this page hits on so many other levels for me.

As he understood it, the story had been submitted to Heavy Metal magazine, but we don't believe it was ever published.

Gorgeous page! I love the ship with its sails fully rigged! The contrast of the ship with the smaller panels is nice. Love the scene of the conquistador on board the vessel. Great pick-up!

You're right, the layout of this page is great. I've got 4 of 6 pages and dare say I think I have the best of them. They almost stand alone as a 4 page story. Alfredo has been a pleasure to work with.
