Description

Nice to see the Young Americans step up and defeat the Nazis. The stereotyping of the African-American team member is not appropriate but, sad to say, it was not uncommon to see this kind of depiction and poor grammar in the early days of comic book publishing. Though he is shown as brave and a full member of the team, the depiction is sad and depressing to be sure.

Tne entire story is from the Jim Steranko collection.

In the end, it was a person of color and females who won it for Young Americans. They must have had some kind of agenda back in 1942 - Defeating Nazis.
