Description

Considering how badly I got slaughtered on the Kelly pieces in the Heritage sale last weekend, it was nice to at least open this little consolation prize.

Beauregard and Albert man up, or not, before a mysterious intruder. Feb. 2, 1959.

Nice one. It would be interesting to find out if Selby Kelly recycled some of Beauregard's poses when she took charge of the strip after Walt's death. Selby, named below the last panel, did not become part of Walt's life until the late 1960s.

I think the Xs indicate the Beauregard figures to be copied or statted, rather than an intentional cross-out of a letter in Selby's name.
