DescriptionPurchased from a Pakistani artist after I first noticed their sketch of Stan Lee via Instagram. Some time later I noticed this piece and was able to acquire it. I think he did a fantastic job of capturing the play of light across the woman, and also her state of being in this moment of labor. Very realistic textures throughout make this a nice, updated version of a somewhat typical subject. If you haven't lived in a place where water is routinely transported over distance on top of people's heads, it really is something to behold. The shadow cast on her face with the small bits of light also coming through is just excellent! The entire thing displays quite a high level of skill, in fact. Lovely, well done!

Wow, a study in light and detail. Each bracelet is intricately reproduced to add authenticity and the woman's expression is incredibly captured.

Thank you. No, it's a smooth surface - like a slightly elevated butcher paper.

Excellent portrait art of a true hero to her family. You are the anti My Pillow Guy, spreading real advice and introducing us to worthwhile artistic visions.

My wife asked what 'snot-man' wrote that made me laugh out loud.

That lace drop-shadow is magnificent. And the way he drew the water sloshing out of the jug and running down in rivulets is very nice. As Duke Fleed said, you're classing up the joint, ML. Thanks. And congrats!
