DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!10.75x14.5" Whatman Board has mixed media original art for cover of 1950s British comic The Cisco Kid #40, distributed by World Distributors. Art is by Walt Howarth (1928-2008), a British illustrator best known for his work on numerous British comic annuals (most of them for World Distributors) in a career that spanned 60 years. Art shows Cisco Kid in hand-to-hand combat w/Native American warrior. Art has hand-painted, cut-out title applied at top (and price at bottom left) and applied stats for WDL logo, World Distributors strip at bottom and "The Film And Television Favourite" text block below title. Howarth has signed at lower right. Exc. Comes w/COA signed by Howarth. Social/Sharing |
