DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!13.5x20-1/8" artboard attached to 16.5x22-5/8" mat has mixed media original art for cover of Four Color #599 (Ben Bowie And His Mountain Men), published by Dell Nov. 1954. Art is by Bill George, who has provided illustrations for various magazines since the 1950s as well as creating cover art for paperbacks and Western comics. Art shows Ben Bowie in coonskin cap lifting signal lantern to alert watchmen seen on wall of fort in bkg. Art has been matted to 11-1/8x15" and has some tape staining at top corners and center left/right. VF overall and ready for framing. Social/Sharing |
