DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!13.25x19.5" artboard has pen and ink original art for first story page of Cosmic Odyssey #3, published by DC Comics Feb. 1989. Art is by Mike Mignola w/inks by Carlos Garzon and depicts Starfire cradling the head of an injured Adam Strange (whose battered jet pack is seen in foreground) while Lightray attends to Anti-Life's Doomsday Device, which dominates page. Starfire's word balloon features pasted stat, while all other text has been hand-lettered. Top margin has stamped title and inked issue/page numbers. Left margin has color note that appears to be from Mignola, regarding bkg. coloring. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp. Margins have aged printer registration labels and upper left corner has faint crease. Art remains clean and Exc. Wonderful splash page from this 1980s DC limited series. Social/Sharing |
