Here, Bill Ward depicts the subtle emotional nuances of meeting with other people. This is a page from his popular "Debbie" strip in Club Magazine, and I cannot express how cheap of paper Bill drew this on. I don't have any reference, unfortunately, for the printed version. Can the lettering really have been this bad in the printed piece?

I still treasure this, despite the bad lettering and the cheap paper, because...well...because Bill Ward.
