Description

Marvel Comics 1978 story "The Curse of the Monolith." Script by Roy Thomas, pencils by Gene Colan, inks by Pablo Marcos. Adapted from the story by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter.

My Halloween 2021 purchase, I've always wanted a Gene Colan Conan. The ink washes on the page are gorgeous.

The wash is important to make this page a solid timeless entry to adapt the classic tale. The impressive last panel of foreshortening is very powerful and pulled off magnificently!
