So I had the Ironman piece done by Bob Layton in 2017 at the Baltimore Comic Con. I felt the piece needed a background of some sort, because it looked a little plain. Fast forward to 2019 and I was able to get the wonderful and talented Gerhard to provide a background for the piece. I just wanted the character in a lab with a bunch of weird machinery. I feel it turned out great and it is one of my favorite Ironman pieces.

Very nice steampunk x Alien type illustrative backgrounds that has both an organic feel and a victorian age machinery look to contrast the slick and glossy modern Iron Man.

Would have never thought to combos these 2 artists. The backgrounds make Ironman look 3 dimensional.
