"The Little Mermaid as written by the great Hans Christian Andersen. The Denmark writer wrote of a tale that is painful and beautiful, the mermaid given her legs which cause her excruciating-pain and eventually loses the love of her life. This piece I worked on is the moment where she realizes she can’t have her prince. Disney has a way of changing great fairy tales into sanitized happy endings but the originals are far more interesting."

Conny said this is one of her favorite pieces she has ever painted and I am so happy to be able to add an original of hers to my collection. Thank you Conny!
