Description

Since I (nor anyone else likely/possibly?) will never have that iconic cover to Fantastic Four 1, having this cover done by Steve McNiven for the recent Fantastic Four Anniversary Tribute Issue, really scratches that itch. It's rendered with great detail (and great inking by Vines!) and you really get that classic Kirby feel. I do miss having those word balloons though - don't know why they didn't keep those in! The cover seems a bit off-center without them, but perhaps that's just because I want to see that block of text on the side.

You can probably get some word balloons made. The McNiven /Vines modern linework punches up everything of the original to modern standards and retains most of the charm that would attract readers today.
