Description

I generally do not participate in art drops. Making a rapid decision about purchasing original art is not my thing. It usually takes me time to decide how much I like a particular piece of art. I made an exception in the case of Oeming's art drop. I have long admired his work and if nothing else I would get a chance to see some of his art and hear him talk. But I did go in having a picture of what I would want in a Powers cover art if the price was right. So when this piece came up there was no hesitation and I immediately sent in my claim.

It's got the symbolism with the badge, the crime noir feel with these two gum shoes, and the superhero element of flying shadows all rolled into one cover. The opportunity outweighs the anxiety, but with over twenty pieces and every one a doozy, you couldn't lose.
