DescriptionIn my opinion, the best character that came out of the Prequels is Darth Maul. When I saw The Phantom Menace teaser trailer for the very first time, I was captivated by a few second footage of the mysterious devil horned villain igniting his badass double bladed lightsaber. I replayed the trailer over and over again just to get a good look of Maul. It was such a huge disappointment seeing him get bisected by Obi-Wan and never to be seen again in the follow-up prequels. Maul reemerged a decade later in The Clone Wars and it was a treat to see a more complex side of the character. I hope to see more of him in future Star Wars series or films. This cover by the Spanish comic artist extraordinaire David Lopez was done originally for the Darth Maul #1 variant (As indicated on the top of the art board), but ended up as the variant for a later #3 issue. Then it got published again as the Darth Maul #5 variant which was very unusual. There was some speculation that the #5 with the same cover was a rare misprint, which enticed many comic book collectors to seek it out. Marvel revealed they goofed up and released the corrected #5 variant featuring a different Lopez artwork. Social/Sharing |

Very cool piece! I hope he gets his day again, the cameo in Solo had me wanting more!

Hoping maybe he'll pop up in the Obi-Wan series, or the Ahsoka series in flashback. Just somewhere!

This looks as cool as the action figure on the Sith Speeder like a dark knight in a joust.

Now I can't help but picturing him jousting on an ostrich and Obi-Wan on a stork.

Rad seeing Maul on his speeder bike, double sabre lighted! And looking right at the reader! Killer. Congrats!
