DescriptionSy Barry The Phantom Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 2 (King Features Syndicate, 1989). Longtime artist on The Phantom, Sy Barry, provides two drama-filled dailies from "The Death Threat" storyline, from 11-24 and 11-25-89. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with image areas of 13" x 3.75". Slight toning, credits paste-ups, whiteout corrections, with light handling wear. Overall in Excellent condition. - ha.comIn the early 1980’s when Buckler left the Phantom, Barry’s only assistant who remained loyal was George Olesen, at his side since 1962. Even in 1989, this style of adventure was still very effective! The motorcycle drawings are really tough to make so convincing.
