Sampson = Samson + Simpsons???

I really like this cover with "Sampson", my favorite unnamed Student Academy. I would have loved to see more of the students in the Legion series. IMO it seemed as if Levitz had some future plans for them, specially with Westerner and Mandalla, because of their individual entries in the Who's Who in the Legion, perhaps for some future story with the Legion of Substitute Heroes II.

You can tell the different approaches of each age of comics by the figures that have swollen up and the tonal work needed to show them properly in the new era of artistry. The layouts are solid and shows the power of the lasting design.
