DescriptionThis epic battle issue, featured the FF fighting Dr. Doom, in a unique battle. Pollard, inked by Sinnott captivated me, when it hit stores! Between the unforgettably powerful images and Marv Wolfman's narrative about Doom's defeat and state of mind, I was and remain hooked!Extra bonus was discovering the penciled figure that Joe drew on the back of the page! I like this 4 panel page, it's like having 4 mini splash pages!

I like the Pollard's pencils here, but the Sinnott inks are near perfection. Nice page Fred, thanks for sharing.

A great page right after the climax where we are still at the height of the storyarc left to be resolved! Pollard and Sinnott made a great team on this book and this milestone issue was a showcase of their talents. This page has so many details and is so cleanly manuevered with the bold linework this series has always been known for.

Great example from a landmark issue! Using that ol' Kirby 4 even panel layout, effectively giving you 4 splahes in one. The dynamic duo of Pollard/Sinnott really doing their thing here. That last panel is probably the standout one, but I love the sense of movement and urgency in panel 2, just with Reed's outstretched arm! Congrats!

To those of you that don't know me, "Fantastic Four"#197-200 ranks within my top 3 favorite FF/ DOOM stories of all-time. Both art & story captivated me as a child, and "STILL" enthralls me as an adult. To say that I've read this storyline a 100 times would be a very conservitive estimate. Most that know me realize what a HUGE Doctor Doom fan I am. And there's nothing quite like an enraged Doom to really hype a particular Fantastic Four tale. And in this epic anniversary issue, Doom really flies off the handle with everyone around him. And even though I usually don't like seeing Doom in defeat, "still" this page truly sparkles. Four (*excuse the pun*) "FANTASTIC" panels of pure artistic greatness. The amazingly "underated" team of Pollard & Sinnott should give any cynic second thoughts to their out-dated opinion(s) of this amazing duo. Being a fan of doom I really have to give hats off to that first panel. However, in careful inspection, it's that 4th panel that really steals the show. All in all, a really cool page from a "classic" "Fantastic Four" issue. "Bravo"!
