Description
Back in 2015 I approached the Struzans about buying a piece of Drew's art.

I began by looking through what remained of the Star Wars book covers, but of the 35+ he'd done, the best had long been plucked away.

Of what remained, this was far and away my favorite - the first cover to the Han Solo Trilogy!! This was one of those books you'd buy and read the same day because of the cover. It was mesmerizing. An amazing layout, a perfect Han Solo, and that warm color palette I so adore in Drew's work.

The lone knock was that the sidekicks weren't classic characters, so when my other option was an Indiana Jones cover w/ Sallah and Brody, I ended up leaning that way.

But this piece always lingered for me...

Six years later it was somehow still available, so when a trade opportunity came up, I was quite thrilled to get it 😁

It's amazing in person, smaller than most of his work, but laser focused in layout, design, and execution.

This piece also now completes my absolutely absurd fantasy of owning a finished Drew Struzan painting from Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars! I have a tough time believing this myself at this point.

It's incredible work by one of the masters in the field.  The lens flare effect is ahead of his time.

Should a rabid ferret really have this? You may nibble, or tear it to pieces. If you like, I can look after it till you hopefully recover. You should have got your shots, instead of wasting money buying artwork.

It's an incredible piece.  I loved this trilogy and was disappointed by the SOLO film that this series of books should have been the basis of.  Drew's covers were alwasy a bright spot for getting these books.
