Chilling... for a moment I thought this was Sin City material, all the more shocking from the pages of Lois Lane!  Lush lines and inks to evoke a nightmare situation...

That's a high compliment, Steve and I'm sure Mike would agree!

HA!  Steve, would you believe that that never crossed my mind?!?  Is that weird?  I feel that that's TOTALLY weird.  Eeshk!  I've been so enthralled with the pages that I haven't been able to pull myself away from them or "think outside the panel boxes" (as it were).  Thankfully, I have you to pull me back on track.  Two masters of shadow, darkness, and unfailing technique in Miller and Perkins, totally.  Many parts of Perkins' and Rucka's terrific "Lois" run were wonderfully dark; obviously Greg leaning into the skills of his collaborator.  A great read!  Many thanks, Steve (and everyone), for the comment!

I like all the smoke rings making question marks in the backgrounds.  The scene reminds me of the Watchmen HBO series with Looking Glass interrogation in the pod.

The entire sequence is incredible, but that last panel is breathtakingly good.

All right, I'm gonna have to mark Perkins. I just love his work, and I have no idea why I don't have a page yet. His visual storytelling, and technique, meticulous and awesome. Those floated irregular panels add so much to the drama of the scene, too. And I've always loved the Question. Great page. Congrats!

Thanks, J H.  I honestly have NO idea why it took me so long (TOO long) to finally add some of Mike's work to my gallery, and I still am stunned that these pages get to be my first (of, I hope, many more).  Your OA instincts are unfailingly brilliant, J H, and you should take them by the hand and drop Ruben a line... :)

Spot on about Mike's meticulous and awesome visual storytelling and technique.  His work (or approach to the work) really makes me think of Bianchi; obviously their styles are very different, but there's a kinship there of high standards and a feeling of true personal investment into the craft to achieve the goals they both aim to achieve on their pages.  On deadline!  It just feels like they work a little harder to take their pages to the level of completion (and excellence) they picture in their heads. Thanks, J H and everyone!

Joking aside, that last panel indeed steals the show here.

Great back to back pages, Jason.  Love the sense of atmosphere, storytelling, and general unnerved feeling you get when looking at them.  Powerful stuff.  The Question has no face, but you STILL get the feelings regardless.  Easier said than done, no doubt.  I haven't read this, but I may check it out as I'm curious about the dialogue paried with the imagery.  Big congrats, man!
