Description

Fantastic scene! As Swamp Thing continues to struggle to grow the Dragon Arum flower, Vyasa's voice reminds him of the flower's ability to make heat, even in the unforgiving cold, and its ability to save a life. As he listens to Vyasa's voice, Swamp Thing struggles and clutches at his chest. As the Dragon Arum flower blooms, the heat it produces finally allows him to break open his chest cavity, in what is a very disturbing yet beautiful sequence, thanks to Perkins' illustrative wizardry!

This powerful energy creates its own panel break from the top and bottom images! A massive run, the words and art has a soul that has an immediate impact and resonates with modern audiences. The power of rebirth to overcome what was restrained by the past.

This issue built up to quite a climax. I really love the way Ram and Mike showed us this new way for Swamp Thing to use his powers. So brilliant in its conception!
