Classic issue and one of the best and memorable works of Kaluta. His deep understanding of the character, its roots, and the influence it has were all poured out in these pages where he did justice to The Shadow.

When I see a page like this, I think this is a long time collector - these pages are so buried - and from #1 as well!
This was one of my favorite comic books from back in the day. I read it so many times, I'm surprised the cover didn't fall off. Kaluta's melding of modern comic book and Golden Age/pulp fiction illustration sensibilities was eye-opening.
