DescriptionI've long been a fan of the work of the illustrator John Cuneo, and I'm happy to finally add an original by John to my collection. This piece was drawn in 2019, after Maurizio Cattelan’s duct-taped banana sold for over $100K at Art Basel. John had shown only the image on the right on Facebook back then, so it was a wonderful bonus to have the second drawing on the same page. I love John's pen & ink work, as I do his drawings of animals (and humans!).Some of the light warm grays have gotten washed out by my scanner, so some of the tone is missing on the wall in the second piece. But boy, do I love that monkey's expression. Social/Sharing |
