DescriptionSoooo- you ever just see a piece of art and say , yea I need that?? That’s what happened here. I was visiting with Jason S From Essential Sequential when he handed a portfolio to me.. it was all Eric Canete works and I was blown away! Most of all by this reimaging of Bill Sienkiewicz iconic Dark Phoenix TPB cover… just an amazing piece that is already framed and on my wall… someone needs to get this published by marvel on a Phoenix piece… not for me or for Eric but so more people get to see this thing !Social/Sharing |

The Canete style brings more emotion out of the characters to show the reactions to all which transpired in the storyline.

Jason, this is terrific. Eric is such a talent. Having him reinterpret this image from Bill was a great idea. Fantastic outcome.

The expressions on the faces couldn't be better, and I love the posture of each figure. So much personality and verve in this drawing!

These "Meetings of the Jasons" seems to always yield excellent art. Great score and very fitting homage by Eric. Congrats!
